Welcome to the course Social Innovation – Responsible Consumption!
The world’s current food system is not as resilient and sustaining as it could be for our families, communities, businesses, and environment. Environmental costs of food production, packaging, and transport are enormous—methane emission, water consumption, deforestation - to name a few. And yet, one-third of global food production for human consumption is lost or wasted.
Our big question is how to design a more sustainable food system for everyone.
- How can we reduce waste by rethinking our relationship with food?
- How can we leverage data to reduce food waste in our homes?
- How can we shift eater behaviours?
- How can we use evidence-based approaches to influence daily consumer choices?
