This is the forum of answers and questions, which means that students (groups) can only see posts of other groups after posting their own.
Read the descriptions of Anna and Alexander consumer behaviour and take part in the discussions.
STEP ONE
Read the descriptions of two different lifestyles and then discuss in your group the following questions:
- How is your lifestyle? Are you “all about buying and consuming” like Anna? Or are you more careful in spending and consuming like Alexander? Elaborate on that.
- Do Anna’s and Alexander’s financial statuses have the key impact on their way of living? What is your opinion?
- Would it be likely for Anna and Alexander to become roommates? Would they argue a lot? Or would they be willing to make concessions to one another and make necessary changes to their lifestyle and consumer pattern?
- Try to identify the values and norms represented by Anna and Alexander.
STEP TWO
In your group, analyze the consumer behaviour of Anna (group 1) and Alexander (group 2). Then post your answers to the questions:
Group 1:
Which of Anna’s consumer choices would you like to change? Why?
And what arguments would you use to convince Anna to do so?
Group 2:
Which of Alexander’s consumer choices would you like to change?
Why?
And what arguments would you use to convince Alexander to do so?
STEP THREE
Commenting on a post:
1. Refer to the "behaviours to change" selected by your colleagues. Would you choose the same? If not what would you choose and why?
2. In your opinion, will Anna / Aleksandra be convinced by the arguments presented by your colleagues?
3. Do you think it's worth adding other others?
